About the position

The Production Supervisor at LC Industries is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of production workers to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to company policies. This role involves preparing work schedules, issuing instructions, maintaining production records, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The supervisor plays a key role in training employees and resolving any grievances, contributing to a harmonious work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of production workers.
• Determine work procedures and prepare work schedules.
• Expedite workflow and issue written and oral instructions to production workers.
• Maintain attendance and production records.
• Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency.
• Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
• Work with Plant Manager to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Direct training and indoctrination of workers to improve performance.
• Prepare composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
• Requisition tools and supplies required for operations.
• Maintain reasonable inventory control on raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Interpret specifications and job orders to workers and assign duties.
• Maintain time worked records and submit to payroll weekly.
• Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
• Report machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
• Work overtime as required.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of manufacturing supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
