The Supervisor-Public Safety position at Mercy Hospital Springfield is focused on ensuring a safe and secure environment for healthcare delivery. Responsibilities

• Supervise public safety officers and programs as directed by the Public Safety Coordinator, Manager, or Director.
• Promote and practice fire and safety prevention.
• Safeguard the dignity and justice of all individuals entrusted with care.
• Manage emergency management programs and safety protocols.
• Oversee the operation of access control and surveillance systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid State driver's license.
• Valid local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required.
• At least 24 months of active employment with Mercy Public Safety/Security Department or equivalent training/experience.
• Completion of Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• College degree.
• Previous Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience.
• Completion of IAHSS Basic Training and Certification Program within 12 months of advancement.
