About the position

The Supervisor of Ramp Operations at Envoy Air Inc. is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of workers in ramp operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. This role involves problem-solving, motivating staff, and managing personnel actions while providing training and support to new employees. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with other supervisors and managers to ensure smooth operations within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and coordinates the activities of workers in ramp operations.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
  • Trains new workers and maintains time and attendance records as well as personnel files and performance records.
  • Confers with other Supervisors and/or Managers to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Confers with workers' representatives to resolve grievances.
  • Operates Company equipment and/or drives Company vehicles.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a team environment and prioritize work and projects to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to show initiative and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and report to work regularly and on-time.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Ability to select, train, guide, and motivate employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
