About the position

The Retail Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in a retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth. This role offers an opportunity for individuals to develop their leadership skills and advance their retail careers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the store's front-of-house operations, including supervising sales associates, cashiers, and customer service representatives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with sales and promotions, including negotiating prices and selling products effectively.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, manage cash registers, and balance tills regularly.
  • Conduct inventory management, including ordering stock, receiving deliveries, and maintaining store displays.
  • Manage the wireless sales area, including stocking and maintaining inventory.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the management team to achieve sales targets and improve store performance.
  • Train and mentor sales associates, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Monitor and maintain store appearance, including cleanliness and organization.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar leadership role is essential.
  • Proven experience in retail sales, cash handling, and customer service.
  • Experience with stock management, including ordering and receiving stock, is highly desirable.
  • A background in wireless sales is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are necessary to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, is required.
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills are vital to driving sales growth.
  • Previous experience with cash registers and basic computer skills are necessary.
