About the position

Under the direction of the regional Security leadership and Security Manager, the Security Site Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and compliance of the NTT Data Center physical infrastructure, equipment, and personnel. The Security Site Supervisor will work closely with the Data Center Operations Team (DCOPS) to ensure that security measures are in place and functioning properly at an assigned data center location. This position involves providing regular daily supervision and support to a team of dedicated Security Officers, as well as Shipping and Receiving staff. The Security Site Supervisor will monitor and maintain access control systems, alarms, and surveillance platforms, taking the lead in planning and coordinating extra protection and security for executive employees and other high-risk individuals visiting the data center. Additionally, the Security Site Supervisor will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of NTT security procedures, ensuring compliance with required codes and regulations, and alignment with company policies. The role requires reviewing and analyzing loss control and incident reports, coordinating and administering security clearances, and preparing and maintaining all required security manuals in collaboration with external and interdepartmental parties. The Security Site Supervisor will supervise daily operations for a team of Security Officers, which includes planning, scheduling, submitting timesheets, and organizing special project work delegated by Security leadership. This position also involves aiding in the recruitment process, assessing qualifications, interviewing candidates, and hiring individuals to join the team. The Security Site Supervisor will contribute to the development and enforcement of security protocols, policies, and procedures to protect the data center, assets, and personnel, while coaching and guiding Security staff to adhere to security policies and safety regulations. In addition, the Security Site Supervisor will remain alert and monitor security operations during shifts to ensure the data center and surrounding property are secure from unauthorized access, sabotage, vandalism, or theft. This role includes managing compliance, security, and record integrity for client shipping and logistics, performing regular audits, and supporting Shipping and Receiving personnel. The Security Site Supervisor will act as the first point of contact during security incidents, assist with investigations, gather evidence, and prepare incident reports, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to resolve incidents effectively. The position requires administering the operation of all security-related systems on shift, preparing and reviewing periodic security reports, and organizing predefined actions in emergency situations, including rendering first aid when necessary. The Security Site Supervisor will also manage the procurement of essential equipment and supplies, recommend improvements to recordkeeping software, and ensure all Security Officers meet grooming and uniform standards. Regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily operations for a team of Security Officers, including planning, scheduling, and submitting timesheets.
  • Aids in identifying and attracting prime talent by participating in the recruitment process and interviewing candidates.
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, and enforcement of security protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Coaches and guides Security staff by modeling professional conduct and adhering to security policies.
  • Guides team members on fulfilling special requirements for NTT GDC Americas clients and ensures requirements are met.
  • Monitors security operations during shifts to ensure the data center is secure from unauthorized access.
  • Manages compliance, security, and record integrity for client shipping and logistics by performing regular audits.
  • Coordinates Security vendor onboarding indoctrination training in partnership with Deployment Services.
  • Acts as the first point of contact during security incidents and assists with investigations.
  • Administers the operation of all security-related systems on shift, such as access control and CCTV.
  • Prepares and reviews periodic security reports to clients and internal leadership.
  • Organizes and conducts predefined actions in emergency situations and renders first aid when necessary.
  • Manages the procurement of essential equipment and office supplies for designated staff and shift.
  • Recommends improvements to recordkeeping software to capture accurate security officer activities.
  • Ensures all Security Officers on shift meet NTT GDC Americas Grooming and Uniform Standards.

Requirements

  • High School or GED required.
  • 2 - 4 year degree, or equivalent combination of work experience and occupational training/certifications.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in law enforcement, industrial, commercial, or governmental security and loss prevention.
  • Prior Law Enforcement and/or Military Schooling is a plus.
  • Internal candidates must have held a Security Officer L2 or L3, and/or Shipping and Receiving position for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Physical Security Professional (PSP) are preferred.
