About the position

The Supervisor, Security will oversee security operations and technical security measures at OSF Facilities. This role involves leading the Security team, developing plans, and identifying training needs to ensure best practice standards in areas such as camera surveillance, alarm systems, and code response. The Supervisor will also be responsible for administrative functions related to Security personnel and must be available for on-call emergency events, maintaining a 24-hour on-call status.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security operations and technical security measures of OSF Facilities.
• Lead the Security team and develop plans to meet best practice standards.
• Identify training needs regarding camera surveillance, alarm systems, and security operations.
• Ensure compliance with code response and training protocols.
• Handle all administrative functions related to Security personnel.
• Be available for on-call emergency events, maintaining 24-hour on-call status.

Requirements

• American Heart Associate CPR-Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certification required.
• IAHSS Supervisor Certification within 1 year of hire required.
• IAHSS Certified Security Officer certification required.
• National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification within 1 year of hire required.
• Active FOID Card required.
• High School diploma or GED with five years of experience in Security, or an Associate degree with three years of experience in Security required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail required.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in healthcare security preferred.
• Working knowledge of Joint Commission Standards and Life Safety codes as they relate to CCTV operations and Access control concepts preferred.
