About the position

The Supervisor, Service Center position at TForce Freight is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the Service Centers. This role involves analyzing operational data to meet productivity, service, and quality targets, while collaborating with the management team to develop action plans for service improvement. The Supervisor also oversees staff within the department, ensuring effective training and performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate hiring and promotion decisions with other managers.
  • Ensure adherence to labor agreements and address grievances in collaboration with other managers.
  • Participate in new hire orientation meetings and conduct safety and quality training.
  • Determine employee training needs and provide feedback and support.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and resolve individual and group performance issues.
  • Build labor relations by interacting with labor officials and unionized employees, addressing and resolving requests and situations.
  • Coach and develop others using career development processes and tools.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) - Preferred
  • Previous dock operations experience - Preferred
  • Supervisory experience in the transportation industry - Preferred
