About the position
The Supervisor of Social Services - Case Management at Medical City Dallas is responsible for leading the social work staff, ensuring the quality and integrity of care delivered. This role involves a focus on discharge planning, employee retention, and collaboration with community agencies, while adhering to regulatory standards. The position also includes hands-on social work responsibilities, particularly in a women's and children's hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Supervises daily operations and activities of social work staff
- Helps to create business plans for social work
- Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, orientation, development, and ongoing evaluation/retention of social work staff
- Promotes a supportive environment that encourages teamwork
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
- Current licensure by the State of TX Board of Social Work examiners
- Recent working experience with assigned patient population
- Hospital supervisor experience preferred
- 3 years post-MSW experience preferred
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
