About the position

The Supervisor/Supervisory IT Specialist will serve as the Deputy Assistant Program Executive Office for Engineering at the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command. This role involves overseeing engineering technical management, ensuring compliance with IT specifications, and leading the design and implementation of large-scale enterprise networks. The position requires collaboration with senior management and stakeholders to support program decisions and governance across multiple digital portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Deputy Assistant Program Executive Office for Engineering (DAPEO(E)) for PEO Digital and Enterprise Services (PEO DES).
  • Oversee engineering technical management, solutioning, and architecture processes for all portfolios within PEO DES.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering and IT specifications, standards, processes, and procedures in capability development and deployment.
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and integration of Operations and Support execution across multiple PEO Digital Portfolios.
  • Develop and present briefs to senior management and stakeholders to gain program support and obtain program decisions.
  • Lead system engineering disciplines associated with the design, implementation, and sustainment of large-scale enterprise networks.
  • Utilize the Scaled Agile Framework to deliver capabilities through iterative delivery.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must complete training and maintain a government credit card for travel-related purchases.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, Software Defined Networking, Cybersecurity best practices, Data Center Virtualization, DevSecOps, Unified Capabilities, and automation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Experience in leading teams using Agile methodologies.
