The Supervisory Behavioral Health Program Specialist position at the Lockport Service Unit of the Indian Health Service is a critical role that combines clinical responsibilities with administrative oversight. The incumbent will serve as the Director of the Behavioral Health Clinic, leading a team of professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to the community. The role involves ensuring that all behavioral health staff complete their clinical notes accurately and rectify any deficiencies in documentation. Collaboration with other departments within the Service Unit is essential to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, integrating behavioral health services with other healthcare offerings. In addition to administrative duties, the incumbent will provide direct clinical services, including diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups. The position requires maintaining accurate client records through electronic health record systems, adhering to all regulatory and accreditation standards. The Behavioral Health Department is committed to delivering evidence-based treatment and fostering a supportive environment for both staff and patients. The incumbent will also be responsible for preparing and monitoring program budgets, coordinating with vendors and clinics to enhance service delivery, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures. This is a full-time, permanent position with occasional travel requirements. The selected individual will be expected to maintain professional licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Psychologist, ensuring that they meet all qualifications and standards set forth by the Indian Health Service.
