About the position

The Supervisory Budget Analyst position at the Department of the Interior involves directing and coordinating financial management functions across the regional program for the National Wildlife Refuge System. The role includes overseeing budget allocation, execution, and compliance with federal policies, while also ensuring effective management of financial documentation and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate financial management functions across the regional program.
  • Monitor and integrate budget allocation, execution, reallocations, redistributions, and end-of-year closeout.
  • Analyze budgetary and related documentation submitted by programs and field stations.
  • Plan work to be accomplished, set and adjust priorities, and prepare schedules for completion.
  • Ensure regional budget and financial management practices are consistent with federal policies.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Experience in developing out-year budgetary projections.
  • Ability to analyze budgetary documentation for regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Experience leading and overseeing the work of team members.
