About the position

The Supervisory Budget Analyst position at the Department of the Air Force is a managerial role responsible for overseeing budget execution and administration within the 350 SWW. The primary focus is on planning, directing, and organizing the work of nonsupervisory employees, ensuring effective budget management and compliance with federal financial processes. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to provide technical support and guidance on budget policies and related issues.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and directs duties involved with budget execution and administration work.
• Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
• Provides technical support and assistance on a wide range of management issues.
• Provides advice, assistance, and guidance on budget policy and related information.
• Performs budget impact analyses of programmatic adjustments to future budget years in the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP).

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance with an SCI background check.
• At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent, including financial management advisory service, budget operations, and cost analysis.
• Knowledge of federal financial processes and the budget process related to annual and multi-year budgets.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, regarding budgetary processes.
