The Supervisory Budget Analyst position at the Department of Health and Human Services involves overseeing staff responsible for budget preparation, analysis, and compliance. Responsibilities

• Supervise staff engaged in budget projections, spending plans, and processing billing/payments.
• Develop and recommend milestones, objectives, and plans to achieve the agency's priorities.
• Analyze and evaluate the agency's effectiveness in meeting established goals and performance measures related to budgetary requirements.
• Prepare regular and special reports and presentation materials on the status of funds, expenses, and obligations.
• Ensure compliance with departmental/division procedures and conduct quality assurance reviews.
• Provide direction and guidance to auditors and administrative personnel in budget-related duties.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service, including budget development, formulation, and execution functions.
• Experience analyzing program effectiveness in relation to budgetary requirements.
• Experience collaborating in the preparation of financial reports and presentation materials.
• Mentoring experience with staff on work and administrative matters.
