Responsibilities

• Oversees the formulation, justification, and execution of the budget for a major organizational component.
• Supervises and directs the work of budget analysts, providing guidance and conducting performance appraisals.
• Develops and implements budget policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
• Conducts in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities within the budget.
• Acts as a liaison with other departments and external agencies, representing the organization in budgetary matters.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for consideration.
• At least one year of specialized experience equal to the GS-14 level, including experience in budget formulation, execution, and financial analysis in a federal setting.
• Experience supervising budget staff and developing budget policies.
