About the position

The Supervisory Case Manager at Volunteers of America Colorado is responsible for overseeing advocacy, crisis intervention, support services, and coordination with funding sources. This role ensures that the assigned program meets or exceeds objectives while supervising the provision of high-quality services for program participants. The position involves recruiting, training, supervising, and scheduling staff, volunteers, and interns, as well as conducting outreach and acting as a liaison to community agencies. The Supervisory Case Manager plays a crucial role in promoting awareness of Volunteers of America resources and services, requiring ongoing interaction with team members, program participants, and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee advocacy, crisis intervention, and support services.
  • Ensure program meets or exceeds objectives and compliance with funder requirements.
  • Supervise the provision of high-quality services for program participants.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule staff, volunteers, and interns.
  • Conduct outreach in conjunction with the team and all aspects of case management.
  • Act as a liaison to community agencies and promote awareness of resources and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a closely related field or related experience.
  • 1 year of direct, full-time case management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to fulfill program compliance and administrative requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams of human service professionals.
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High level of numeric reasoning ability.
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Experience working independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must possess a Colorado driver's license and state-mandated automobile insurance.
  • Must possess a personal vehicle for work-related travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Homeless Management Information System and Colorado Division of Housing rental system.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based applications.
