Responsibilities

• Work with the Assistant State Conservationist for Water Resources to provide engineering support for watershed planning and operations.
• Review the work of subordinates to ensure compliance with applicable policies, standards, specifications, and guidelines.
• Analyze engineering work and training needs, recommending training and placement of engineering personnel.
• Establish technical engineering standards and procedures, and associated engineering policies and methods of operation.
• Manage engineering surveys, construction activities, and investigations related to hydrologic activities, watershed, and land treatment.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen or US National.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state motor vehicle operator's license.
• Must maintain a current professional engineering license in the state of employment.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in Federal service.
• Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
