About the position

The Supervisory Civil Engineer position at the Bureau of Reclamation involves managing the Field Engineering Division at the Provo Area Office, overseeing construction, operations, and maintenance of various water projects in the Upper Colorado Region. The role is crucial for addressing increasing water demands while ensuring environmental protection. The selected candidate will lead engineering efforts, develop policies, supervise staff, and maintain communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Field Engineering Division at the Provo Area Office.
• Oversee construction, operations, and maintenance for 17 water projects.
• Lead engineering and scientific efforts related to infrastructure and environmental systems.
• Develop, evaluate, and interpret policies and procedures for assigned programs.
• Supervise staff members and manage workforce needs.
• Maintain effective communication with federal agencies, state departments, private firms, contractors, and representatives.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
• Must have a current valid Professional Engineering (P.E) license.
• Must meet education and/or experience requirements as specified in the qualifications section.
• Must submit a resume and supporting documentation, including transcripts for education verification.
