About the position

The Supervisory Community Planner position serves as a first-level supervisor within the Engineering Flight of the Space Launch Delta 45 (SLD 45). The role involves overseeing program management, project planning, facility planning, and energy management across Florida, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while meeting customer needs. The position requires a blend of engineering, planning, and program development expertise, along with personnel management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
• Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short/long-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
• Organize and direct the activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Perform multidisciplinary professional engineering, planning, and program development work.
• Oversee the development and execution of the Engineering budget and preparation of Planning, Programming, and Budgeting System (PPBS) documentation.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• At least one year of general experience equivalent to the NH-02 level or GS-05 to GS-11 in the Federal Service.
• Knowledge of multidisciplinary professional engineering, architectural, and planning concepts and practices.
• Ability to plan, conduct, and record site/facilities surveys and inspections.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional registration or license as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect in one of the 50 states or territories.
