About the position

The Supervisory Coordination Center Officer position at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) involves safeguarding the American way of life by securing transportation infrastructure at Nashville International Airport. This role includes overseeing security operations, establishing interagency relationships, and providing situational awareness during incidents and emergencies. The officer will also supervise staff, manage security functions, and ensure compliance with reporting procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support security functions and operations such as Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR) and Screening Passengers by Observation Techniques (SPOT).
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with TSA counterparts and other agencies.
  • Participate in interagency committees and meetings to gather and exchange information.
  • Provide guidance to supervisory and management officials on significant information.
  • Ensure superiors are aware of ongoing activities and incidents.
  • Review incident reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing reports and briefings on significant security incidents.
  • Serve as a first line supervisor, assigning work and evaluating performance.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience at the SV-F or GS-9 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.
  • Understanding of notification procedures for incident response.
  • Ability to monitor security systems and provide protection to people and property.
  • Experience working in an emergency call or dispatch center.
  • Knowledge of work-related safety practices and regulations.
  • Effective communication, analytical, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
