About the position
The Supervisory Education Specialist serves as the Deputy Director at the USAJFK Special Warfare Center & School in Fort Liberty, NC. This role involves leading a team of over 175 military and civilian professionals who train more than 1000 ARSOF Soldiers annually. The position focuses on the implementation, assessment, and direction of educational programs, ensuring the development of foreign language proficiency and cultural competency among ARSOF personnel.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Deputy Director and Supervisory Education Specialist of a unit comprised of military and civilian professionals.
- Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation and assessment of training programs.
- Build effective teams of language professionals and military leaders to evaluate trends in second language acquisition.
- Plan and direct academic operations concerning foreign language proficiency and cultural competency for ARSOF.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in Education.
- One year of specialized experience directing an instructional/educational program and providing technical and administrative direction.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in developing performance plans and rating employees.
- Familiarity with foreign education evaluation processes.
