About the position

The Supervisory Equipment Specialist (Electronic) position at the Department of the Air Force is responsible for overseeing the 81st Equipment and Systems Maintenance Flight. This role involves exercising second-level supervisory and managerial authorities, ensuring the proper maintenance and support of various systems and equipment to minimize training mission deficiencies. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage personnel and coordinate activities across multiple organizational segments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the 81st TRSS Equipment and Systems Maintenance Flight.
• Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
• Direct, coordinate, and oversee work through subordinate supervisors.
• Represent the 81st Training Support Squadron with various installation and functional area organizations.
• Ensure proper maintenance of locally developed AR/VR, Network, RADAR, Airfield & Weather Systems, and Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment.

Requirements

• At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent in other pay systems.
• Experience as a skilled mechanic or maintenance worker, sales or service engineer, or planner or estimator in a technical group.
• Knowledge of personnel management policies, practices, regulations, and procedures.
• Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations to meet program requirements and objectives.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and technical data.
