About the position

The Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist will manage a team within the Facilities Management Division at Naval Facilities Engineering Command Hawaii, focusing on airfield operations. This role involves overseeing facility maintenance, providing guidance to stakeholders, and ensuring that facilities meet operational requirements. The position offers opportunities for telework and requires a strong understanding of facility management principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage a group of employees by providing direction and issuing assignments.
• Answer questions concerning procedures and policies related to facilities management.
• Demonstrate proper work methods and evaluate employee performance.
• Address grievances and complaints from team members.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on processes such as requesting work and funding jobs.
• Gather, review, scope, and estimate costs for job/project requirements.
• Facilitate the induction of work based on gathered requirements.
• Monitor the progression of work and brief stakeholders on status updates.
• Use software modules (e.g., MAXIMO) to track inventory and validate data.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level.
• Experience in leading, managing, or training others in facility operations.
• Knowledge of technical principles and methods of facilities management.
• Ability to identify and prioritize projects for maintenance plans.
• Experience in solving work problems and providing direction to ensure execution of operations.
