About the position

This position serves as a facility management expert within the Facilities Management Division at Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The role involves supporting management initiatives, overseeing project scopes, implementing safety programs, and preparing annual budgets for operations. The position requires a range of supervisory duties and is essential for maintaining the infrastructure and services of the park.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a facility management expert in support of Lake Mead management initiatives.
• Determines and recommends project scope, goals, and objectives.
• Implements a safety and training program to eliminate at-risk behaviors and environments.
• Exercises the full range of supervisory duties.
• Prepares annual work budget plans for operations using NPS financial management programs.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
• Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
• Valid driver's license required for operating a government or private motor vehicle.
• Must submit certified driving records from all States.
• Required to wear a uniform and comply with National Park Service uniform standards.
• May be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and shift work.
• Completion of a one-year probationary period for new employees or supervisors in the Federal government.
• May require overnight travel up to 2 nights per month.
