About the position

The Supervisory Human Resources Officer is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the Personnel Flight within the Department of Defense. This role involves exercising supervisory personnel management responsibilities, representing the Force Support Squadron, and ensuring that personnel programs align with regulatory and fiscal requirements while supporting operational goals and mission requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the Personnel Flight.
  • Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
  • Represent the Force Support Squadron with various installation and functional area organizations.
  • Establish, define, and implement requirements for personnel programs to ensure compliance with regulatory and fiscal requirements.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent, including knowledge of federal civilian personnel management laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of civilian pay budget policies and procedures, safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations.
  • Skill in analyzing workforce data to improve human resource management programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in military or federal civilian personnel management.
  • Knowledge of financial and budget resource management practices.
