About the position

The Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Human Resources Development) will oversee workforce development initiatives within the Total Force Department of the Business Directorate at NAVFAC Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic. This role involves applying workforce development theories and practices to enhance employee training and development, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and improving overall workforce efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Apply workforce development learning theories, concepts, laws, regulations, and principles.
• Develop and evaluate training curriculum and conduct course audits to assess training effectiveness.
• Conduct studies to determine immediate and long-range training and development needs of employees.
• Develop metrics, compile, and analyze data related to training and development.
• Create innovative tools for improving team and workforce efficiencies.
• Brief workforce development programs and subject matter to all levels of the Command both orally and in writing.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in federal service.
• Experience in planning work, setting priorities, and preparing work completion schedules.
• Ability to identify developmental and training needs of subordinate employees.
• Experience in communicating support of policies to subordinates.
• Assurance of equality in determining qualifications, selections, assignments, training, promotions, and awards.
• Technical expertise in all facets of training and employee development.
