About the position

This is a public notice to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic Def Industrial Base Facilities & Major Range/Test Facilities Base in DoD. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the 'How to Apply' section of this flyer to be considered. Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex and unusual environmental science and engineering management problems and present technical research and findings, both in oral and written presentations.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and management officials (military and civilian) to persuade others to act or provide required support.
  • Supervise the work of a diverse, multi-skilled branch involved in supporting the production efforts of a complex industrial facility engaged in the overhaul and repair of fixed and rotary wing aircraft, and components.
  • Integrate environmental regulations into production operation policy and practices for compliance.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in environmental compliance program matters related to an industrial aerospace repair facility.
  • Proficient in the implementation of program management relative to 40 CFR and/or ISO 14001, NEPA, Hazardous Material Control and Management, and other environmental regulations.
