About the position

This position serves as Supervisor for the Quality Control Section of the Forensic Toxicology Drug Testing Laboratory (FTDTL), at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the direct supervision and rating of the Quality Control Section personnel.
  • Ensure all control material are certified and performing in accordance with specifications.
  • Participate in method development, method optimization and troubleshooting projects.
  • Manage workflow of the Quality Control Section to optimize output and maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor workload status and make adjustments to task assignments and priorities.
  • Reviews new method validation data to ensure quality and acceptability.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has been designated Mission Essential.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations.
