About the position

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND of NAVFAC NORTHWEST. This position is permanent and full-time, located in Bangor, WA. The role involves overseeing environmental compliance programs, analyzing budget requirements, and developing plans to enhance team capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Adapt environmental compliance program schedules and deadlines to facilitate program completion.
  • Analyze program needs to formulate budget requirements.
  • Develop plans to improve team capabilities and identify training needs to ensure team members have the tools to be productive.
  • Define system problems at multiple levels (e.g., project, program, enterprise).
  • Assess technical projects (e.g., system requirements, resources, cost, customer needs) to develop a complex project plan.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect is required.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing facilities master planning and project documentation.
  • Experience in analyzing engineering and economic data to develop alternatives for infrastructure.
  • Experience in coordinating with personnel and contractors to manage facility management projects.
