The Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist position at the U.S. Coast Guard involves managing information technology projects, specifically focusing on combat and optics systems. Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects and phases of combat and optics systems projects.
• Maintain configuration baselines for combat and optics system products.
• Ensure development of maintenance requirements for combat and optics systems according to established standards.
• Monitor and analyze demand for combat and optics systems services and develop plans to address needs and gaps.
• Provide guidance to staff by reviewing work for accuracy and compliance with instructions and policy.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector.
• Experience developing methods to monitor and measure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts for IT systems.
• Experience leading and overseeing IT project spending, hiring of staff, and contracting efforts related to IT systems.
• Experience acting as a primary stakeholder in IT operational processes such as the System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) process.

Nice-to-haves

• Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level II (FAC P/PM-II) or equivalent within two years of entry into the position.
