About the position

As a Supervisory IT Program Manager (APPSW) at the Department of the Treasury, you will lead a mixed team focused on enhancing digital accessibility across federal technology environments. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards, promoting accessible digital experiences, and implementing necessary policies and advocacy to maximize organizational impact. This position requires strategic oversight and collaboration with various stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive digital accessibility roadmap aligned with agency goals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and collaborate with Section 508 representatives across Treasury to ensure compliance with legislative policies and executive mandates.
  • Evaluate key 508 Compliance project outcomes and leverage them for maximum community and organizational impact.
  • Develop systems, processes, and tools to support the facilitation, collection, and sharing of 508 Compliance knowledge.
  • Maintain a Treasury-wide collaboration space for accessibility initiatives.
  • Align the digital accessibility strategic roadmap with agency-wide strategic planning and budget formulation efforts.
  • Provide consultation and participate in agency capital planning or business case development to ensure ICT activities integrate Section 508 compliance.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service, including oversight of program-level initiatives related to Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Experience managing the implementation and maintenance of an integrated enterprise IT system.
  • Experience leading teams overseeing Section 508 Program electronic information technology and providing guidance to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated competencies in Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
