About the position

The Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist position at the Department of Justice (DOJ) involves overseeing service desk and device management services. The role includes leadership, personnel management, strategy development, security assessment, and operational direction to ensure effective management of IT issues and telecommunication needs. The position is critical in ensuring compliance with security standards and improving service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for service desk and device management services.
• Lead the service desk and device teams to ensure appropriate security solutions are applied.
• Manage the overall work of the service desk and device teams to ensure compliance with risk and vulnerability standards.
• Oversee service desk and technical support services, applying expert knowledge in customer support concepts.
• Benchmark, analyze, report on, and recommend improvements for service desk and device management services.
• Lead rapid response teams for customer service problems due to catastrophic events.
• Provide overall direction and oversight of personnel management, strategy development, and security assessment.

Requirements

• Must be a United States Citizen or National.
• Must successfully pass a security/background investigation and a drug screening.
• Experience in service desk operations management including service delivery, strategic planning, and financial/budget management.
• Managing and overseeing IT programs and activities for staff members with hands-on support for IT incidents and service requests.
• Ability to obtain a Federal Acquisition Certificate for Contracting Officers Representative (FAC-COR) and/or Federal Acquisition Certificate for Program Manager (FAC-PM) within 12 months of appointment.
