About the position

The Supervisory IT Project Manager at Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) will lead the Information Technology (IT) Project Management Office (PMO) and play a crucial role in the IT management team. This position involves overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals and are completed efficiently and effectively. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage subordinates, make critical decisions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
  • Assign work to subordinates based on priorities and the capabilities of employees.
  • Make decisions on work problems presented by subordinates, contractors, and managed services.
  • Ensure projects within the IT PMO portfolio are initiated, planned, and executed in accordance with the System Life Cycle (SLC).
  • Give presentations or briefings to executives, management, sponsors, and stakeholders on all aspects of the IT PMO Portfolio.
  • Participate with other cross-agency managers in planning, implementing, and evaluating the entire IT project management program.
  • Manage the IT project portfolio capital and expense budget as allocated.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Experience must be IT related, demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific training.
  • Proficiency in Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving at an advanced level for GS-14.
  • Specialized experience equivalent to GS-13 in the Federal service, including applying advanced IT project management principles and ensuring the delivery of IT projects.
