The Supervisory IT Specialist (Network) position at the Department of the Navy involves leading the Tactical Networks Division at NAVWARSYSCEN Pacific in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive network engineering solutions for Navy platforms.
  • Oversee the design, development, integration, and deployment of networking technologies.
  • Specialize in testing and evaluation, problem solving, and cybersecurity.
  • Implement new network systems capabilities for various platforms including surface, sub-surface, and airborne.
  • Communicate technical and programmatic aspects of projects effectively.
  • Lead, manage, and supervise a team of approximately 20 scientists, engineers, and technicians.
  • Provide oversight for operations and business development.
  • Manage an annual budget exceeding $5M.
  • Develop and implement business strategies, budgets, and staffing plans.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must obtain and maintain a security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must complete training and maintain a government credit card for official purchases.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level.
