About the position
The Supervisory IT Specialist (APPSW/DATAMGT) position is a critical role within the Department of Defense, specifically serving as the Warfighter Integration Branch Chief at the Pentagon. The incumbent will act as a liaison between various divisions and organizations, focusing on the integration and implementation of national defense policies related to Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2). This position requires a high level of expertise in IT management, policy analysis, and stakeholder collaboration, with responsibilities that significantly impact national defense operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex qualitative and quantitative analyses of programs and policies affecting national defense.
- Represent the USA, JS J6, and other high-level forums in discussions on major policy issues.
- Draft and staff correspondence and decision papers for senior officials.
- Develop planning and programming guidance for NATO and multinational policies.
- Design and direct strategies for service delivery and support models.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG-14 grade level in the Federal service.
- Experience collaborating with DoD and multinational stakeholders on information sharing and data interoperability.
- Experience overseeing technical mission-essential interoperability and integration enhancements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage personnel and material resources efficiently.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with NATO operations and policies.
- Knowledge of modern information technology solutions and standards.
- Familiarity with Command and Control (C2) capabilities.
