About the position

The Supervisory IT Specialist (CUSTSPPRT) position at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) is responsible for overseeing customer service and support operations for IT technologies used by GAO end-users. This role involves managing federal staff and contract personnel, developing training programs, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across various departments to enhance the user experience with IT services.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise federal staff and oversee contract personnel responsible for customer support and training.
  • Develop communication strategies and identify training requirements for new technologies.
  • Establish effective working relationships with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of customer service and support operations.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • One year of specialized experience at the MS-I/GS-14 level in the Federal service or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated competencies in Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in leading customer outreach projects.
