About the position

The Supervisory IT Specialist (CUSTSPT)(Branch Manager) position at the Department of the Treasury involves overseeing the planning, direction, and execution of the End User Services Branch (EUSB). The role requires leadership in managing day-to-day operations, establishing program goals, and implementing new technologies to enhance service delivery to users. This position is critical in ensuring the effective functioning of IT services within the Bureau of the Fiscal Service.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, direct, and control the day-to-day operations of the End User Services Branch (EUSB).
  • Establish program goals and objectives and develop long-range work plans and policies.
  • Provide direction and recommendations on projects/programs to be discontinued, altered, or added.
  • Lead pilot/testing endeavors for new products to offer as standard or enterprise offerings.
  • Manage studies related to end user services and technology usage, efficiency, and needs.
  • Assist the Division Director and participate with other Branch Managers in operational planning functions.
  • Coordinate with facilities and technical support personnel for installation plans of computer equipment.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent, directly related to the position.
  • Experience in designing and performing projects/studies that conform to professional standards.
  • Ability to apply IT principles and provide guidance on information technology policies and procedures.
  • Experience as a team lead or project manager.
  • Subject matter expertise in end user products and services.
