About the position

The Supervisory IT Specialist (Enterprise Architecture) position at the Department of the Army USCYBERCOM is a critical role focused on leading the planning and execution of enterprise architecture initiatives. This position requires expertise in the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and involves supervising a team to ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations while implementing architectural strategies that align with the organization's mission. The role is based in Fort Meade, Maryland, and offers opportunities for telework as determined by agency policy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of efforts to implement the DoDAF version 2.02+.
  • Implement Department of Defense Architecture Framework methodology to create, document, staff, baseline, and execute configuration.
  • Determine intended use and scope of architecture.
  • Collect, organize, correlate, and store architectural data.
  • Conduct analyses in support of architecture objectives and document results.
  • Lead delivery of architectural presentation techniques to effectively convey data to decision makers.
  • Translate mastery of federal law, regulation, and policies to implement architectures in support of compliant business decisions.
  • Supervise subordinates, providing policy and program objectives, assigning tasks, and evaluating work.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information.
  • Must undergo and successfully complete a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examination.
  • Experience in identifying emerging technologies and developing architecture and engineering strategies.
  • Experience briefing senior leaders on complex IT-related issues and policy.
  • Experience managing and coordinating complex multi-faceted activities with multiple stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Department of Defense or federal government architecture frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity policies and practices.
