About the position

The Supervisory IT Specialist (InfoSec) will serve as a Cybersecurity Workforce Supervisor at the National Maritime Intelligence Center, responsible for developing and implementing cyberspace workforce plans, strategies, and guidance. This role involves making impactful decisions regarding resources and ensuring the technical quality and timeliness of work produced by the team. The position requires managing complex IT projects and providing technical assistance to ensure compliance with organizational IT requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop cyberspace workforce plans, strategies, and guidance to support manpower, personnel, training, and education requirements.
  • Address changes to cyberspace policy, doctrine, materiel, force structure, and education and training requirements.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor the work of the unit.
  • Manage and appraise employee and organizational performance; resolve employee complaints; and support employee development.
  • Develop and manage Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) travel, training, supply, and external assistance budget.
  • Manage highly complex information technology (IT) projects and lead IT projects for the organization.
  • Oversee and provide technical assistance to employees for the acquisition of major systems and ensure IT systems meet organizational requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.
  • Must acknowledge in writing acceptance of an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service).
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must meet qualification requirements of the specialty area assigned.
