About the position

The Supervisory IT Specialist (Network) will serve as a key member of the leadership staff at NAVWARSYSCEN Atlantic in Charleston, SC. This role involves managing and supervising a team of Competency Supervisors and Technical High-Grade employees, executing the vision and mission of the Command and Competency, and developing policies and standards for communications and networks to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Support the 55000 Competency Lead as a member of the leadership staff.
• Execute the vision and mission of the Command and Competency.
• Manage and supervise direct reports including Competency Supervisors and Technical High-Grade employees.
• Develop, oversee, and equip the workforce to support customer demand for Communications and Networks.
• Provide support in the development of Communication and Networking policies, standards, processes, guides, and templates.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
• Specialized experience must demonstrate the ability to rapidly adapt communications and/or networks to new information, trends, and unexpected obstacles.
