About the position

The Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) position at the NAVSUP Business Systems Center involves planning and executing the Department's Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS) programs. The role includes setting workload priorities, managing personnel resources, and ensuring compliance with government standards and regulations. The specialist will also provide technical assistance and advice to the NAVSUP BSC Command while performing administrative and supervisory duties.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the Department's IT/IS programs, including logistics solutions and data analytics solutions.
• Set workload priorities and allocate personnel resources effectively.
• Perform administrative duties such as evaluating performance and resolving problems.
• Select personnel and develop training programs for subordinates.
• Ensure compliance with government-wide standards, regulations, and policies.
• Provide technical assistance and advice to the NAVSUP BSC Command.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level.
• Expert knowledge of policy and planning concepts related to IT disciplines and project management methods.
• Experience in developing and interpreting IT policies and procedures.
• Ability to manage and coordinate complex IT efforts and tasks.
• Strong skills in attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
