About the position
The Supervisory IT Specialist will oversee critical functions within the Modernization Solutions Department of the NAVSUP Business Systems Center. This role involves managing IT platforms, systems, and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing technical guidance to staff. The position requires leadership in IT project management and process integration, with a focus on delivering effective IT solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee requirements analysis and automated supply systems.
- Ensure effectiveness and compatibility of supported systems.
- Manage and maintain the organization's IT platforms, systems, and infrastructure.
- Assign work to staff and prepare schedules for work.
- Provide technical guidance and advice to employees.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level.
- Experience in leading and managing IT project management and systems/process development.
- Ability to provide technical and administrative direction, including setting priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing IT operations.
- Experience in developing and recommending short and long-range plans for the department.
