About the position
The Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist at NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support is responsible for overseeing the provisioning process for new equipment entering the inventory, ensuring data integrity for assigned weapons systems, and coordinating supply support. This role involves managing logistics plans, optimizing support for weapon systems, and providing technical expertise to mentor and develop team members.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and ensure the provisioning process for new equipment entering the inventory is accurate and completed on time.
- Ensure data integrity for the organization's assigned weapons systems and lead efforts to correct inaccuracies.
- Oversee, evaluate, and coordinate supply support for assigned systems and platforms.
- Adjust budget and logistics plans to accommodate unforeseen developments.
- Coordinate and manage projects, programs, and procedures to optimize support of assigned weapon systems and platforms.
- Develop and maintain milestones and performance statistics for optimum weapon support and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) management.
Requirements
- Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Knowledge of the full range of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) program management, development, and weapons systems support.
- Experience in providing management control, oversight, guidance, and support for life cycle management of assigned weapons systems and platforms.
- Ability to oversee supply support functions and ensure timely execution for new equipment entering the inventory.
- Experience in inventory management duties including budgeting, demand forecasting, and material distribution.
