The Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist position at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) involves overseeing logistics operations and asset management within the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO). The role requires decision-making authority regarding property policies and logistics management, as well as advising on asset acquisition and disposal methods. This position is critical for ensuring compliance with financial regulations and optimizing logistics systems across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Officer, exercising decision-making authority regarding property policies and regulations.
• Oversee integrated logistics support and logistics management program coordination.
• Engage and advise management on asset acquisition management and disposal methods.
• Monitor existing labor contracts and ensure contractor performance meets standards.
• Review and track asset management activities in the Accountability Management System.
• Analyze and develop complex logistics models and systems for organizational areas.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service.
• Experience in evaluating, planning, and executing logistics programs and operations.
• Experience in conducting financial analysis or life cycle analysis for logistics activities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with contract administration and oversight.
• Knowledge of asset management and property management best practices.
