About the position

The Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist position at FEMA involves directing the logistics support plan for the Texas Integration and Recovery Office. The role focuses on managing logistics functions, operations, and policies to support disaster response and recovery efforts. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Chief of Staff and supervise a team to ensure preparedness for disaster response, while also adhering to FEMA's mission of helping people before, during, and after disasters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide logistics, facilities, and maintenance managerial support for the Texas Integration and Recovery Office.
  • Collaborate with the TIRO Chief of Staff on organizational priorities and regional staff.
  • Supervise and plan work for subordinates, ensuring the logistics team is prepared for disaster response.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, managing support functions including supply, maintenance, transportation, warehouse/storage, property accountability, and fleet management.
  • Experience leading a team that manages projects in logistics management.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate logistic management issues and provide resolutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of FEMA policies related to logistics and facilities maintenance.
