About the position

The Supervisory Management and Program Analyst position at the Houston Asylum Office plays a critical role in supporting the operation and management of major programs within the Asylum Division. This role involves leading teams of analysts to assess and enhance complex management and program processes and systems, ensuring effective performance and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of subordinate analysts within the Asylum Division offices on performance, resource management, business operations, scheduling, and programmatic technological enhancements.
• Serve as a consultant on broad projects and programs with potentially national impact.
• Determine the applicability and effect of new or proposed legislation, executive orders, and DHS directives on operations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor sophisticated management information systems focusing on long- and short-range plans.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National to apply.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government.
• Experience incorporating qualitative and quantitative methods for program effectiveness assessment.
• Experience conducting technical and administrative briefings to senior management officials.
• Experience reviewing policies and procedures to determine operational impact.
