About the position

The Supervisory Nurse (Consultant Clinical Quality Improvement) serves as an advisor and consultant to the Commander and Executive Officer at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. This role involves recommending policy and system changes, managing quality improvement programs, and overseeing the Quality Care Council. The position requires a strong background in nursing and leadership, with responsibilities that include managing day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an advisor and consultant to the Commander and Executive Officer.
• Recommend policy and system changes.
• Act as the program manager and subject-matter expert (SME) for virtual communities and business collaboration.
• Serve as Vice Chairman and coordinator to the Quality Care Council.
• Serve as Department Head of Quality Management.
• Oversee the day-to-day use of the purchase cards assigned to cardholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required.
• Must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination and possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse.
• At least one full year of professional nursing experience, including providing both inpatient and outpatient nursing care, analyzing medical data, and evaluating nursing staff performance.
