The Supervisory Operations Research Analyst position at the Department of Defense involves leading a team responsible for conducting complex systems analyses and applying advanced analytics and data science to various resource management problems. Responsibilities

• Formulate, plan, conduct, and present complex systems analyses.
• Apply advanced analytics and data science techniques.
• Utilize innovative scientific and mathematical approaches to analyze resource management problems.
• Perform studies on issues related to resource management, finance, manpower, force management, organizational constructs, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in operations research or a related field with at least 24 semester hours in operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, or related subjects, including 3 hours in calculus.
• One year of specialized experience in data cleansing, preparation, analysis, and visualization using programming languages (Python, R, SAS, SQL) and analytical software (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SAS, Qlik).
• Experience performing various types of statistical analyses including descriptive, inferential, predictive, prescriptive, exploratory, and causal.
