About the position
The Supervisory Operations Specialist will serve as an Operations Manager for the Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Capital Access (OCA), Damage Verification Center (DVC) in Herndon, Virginia. This role involves planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and evaluating the DVC's damage assessment and loss verification functions both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside (OCONUS). The position requires overseeing field operations to support the SBA disaster loan program and ensuring effective communication and training among staff.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all field operations supporting the DVC loss verification functions.
- Ensure appropriate staff and resources are allocated to accomplish the mission.
- Involve in day-to-day operations estimating materials and costs for construction or repair.
- Develop and implement strategies to address fluctuating workloads.
- Obtain feedback from various sources while maintaining effective communication with employees and SBA officials.
- Oversee the development and implementation of training content and requirements for DVC employees.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government travel credit card.
- Favorable background investigation and credit check.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
