About the position

The Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist position at DCSA involves leading the Continuous Vetting branch within the Adjudication and Vetting Services (AVS). The role focuses on overseeing the operations related to personnel security, including the management of teams responsible for analyzing and responding to Continuous Vetting alerts. The incumbent will establish program objectives, communicate with key stakeholders, and ensure the effective implementation of security policies and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Branch Chief for Adjudication and Vetting Services, managing day-to-day operations of the Continuous Vetting portfolio.
  • Supervise teams responsible for the collection, analysis, and referral of Continuous Vetting alerts.
  • Manage daily operations including data collection, case generation, and analysis.
  • Establish program objectives and assess progress toward goals within the division.
  • Participate in conferences with government and industry officials regarding policy and procedural matters related to the Continuous Vetting program.
  • Communicate pertinent information to diverse audiences and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Experience leading teams of personnel security specialists in a production-driven environment.
  • Ability to analyze data related to case inventory and productivity measurements.
  • Experience providing briefings to government and industry officials on Continuous Vetting processes.
  • Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within two years of entry on duty.
