About the position

The Supervisory Production Manager at the Department of Defense is responsible for overseeing the integration of production efforts related to the overhaul and repair of aircraft and associated components. This role involves managing a performance measurement framework, providing direction to program supervisors, and ensuring effective decision-making within the team to optimize overall operations. The position requires strategic planning and coordination of work based on priorities, with a focus on delivering quality and timely products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall integration of production efforts including aircraft overhaul and repair.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and walk-arounds to evaluate production-related activities.
  • Provide direction to program supervisors and personnel supporting the product.
  • Plan work based on priorities and coordinate shared capacity.
  • Ensure decision-making optimizes overall FRC-SW operations.
  • Advise and counsel assigned personnel.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
